Yard Worker (General Laborer)

Job Responsibility: Yard Worker (General Labourer) This is an entry level position with the opportunity to grow within the company, we like to promote and train our staff to be the best they can be. The workload is very diverse and gives you something new to do everyday. Job Type: Full time, daytime hours including weekends (during peak season), overtime as required. Expected tasks: · Wash/Detail semi-trucks, trailers, tankers, and small vehicles · Shipping & Receiving · Parts pick up · Maintain supplies inventory · Cleaning facilities · Lawn maintenance · Snow clearing · Yard upkeep · Refuel vehicles · Assist the technicians · Other duties as they come up Requirements: · Class 5 license (class 1 or 3 is an asset) with an acceptable driver's abstract · Capable of medium to heavy lifting · Prior experience operating forklift/heavy equipment is an asset · Take personal ownership of tasks and foster a team environment · Organized and able to prioritize multiple projects at once Benefits: · Competitive wages · Health and dental benefits at three months · RRSP matching plan at one year · Boots and clothing allowance · Uniforms are supplied · Gas + Diesel discount · Referral bonus program The company: Penner Oil has been in business for over 30 years as a wholesale distributor of petroleum products. The primary business of the company is sales and distribution of gasoline & diesel fuel and oil products in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and northwestern Ontario. Our customers are mostly rural, and range from service stations, bulk fuel dealers and farmers, to First Nation gasoline stations on outlying reserves as well as urban reserve stations.
