Electrical Journeyman

Position Summary: The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, multifamily, and commercial environments while ensuring compliance with local and national codes. Key Responsibilities: • Train and mentor apprentices. • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, control systems, and equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical testing instruments. • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades. • Complete daily reports, work orders, and documentation as required. Requirements: • Valid Journeyman Electrician License • Minimum 4 years of field experience in electrical systems installation and repair. • Solid understanding of electrical code regulations (NEC and local codes). • Ability to work independently and in teams on construction sites or service calls. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • OSHA 10/30 card is a plus (or willingness to obtain). • NFPA 70E Certification Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, reading, and must be able to lift 40 pounds. Working Environment: • Field-based leadership role; will work on active construction sites. • May require overtime, weekends, and travel between job sites • Must wear appropriate PPE and always enforce safety rules. • Moderate noise level.
