Electrical Apprentice

Electrical Apprentice Elm Tree Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position is ideal for someone looking to start or continue a career in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The apprentice will assist with residential and/or commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs while gaining hands-on experience in the field. Company Info: Summary of Job: The Electrician apprentice role will assist our licensed electricians with high and low voltage installations including but not limited to residential new construction and remodels, troubleshooting preexisting electrical, and retro installations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Possess excellent problem-solving skills that will result in the diagnosis and repair of both simple and complex issues. • Performs wire and cable pulls. Prewire electrical panels for new construction and remodels. Complete the trim out of switches, outlets, chandeliers, and recessed lighting. • Read basic blueprints and electrical schematics (training provided if needed). • Ensure high quality control with all facets of the job, ensuring we exceed customer expectations. • Work alongside of and follow instruction/direction from in-house field electricians. • Ability to provide an exemplary customer service experience and positive attitude. • Use a variety of tools and techniques to complete electrical task. • Maintains and cleans all company tools and equipment and jobsite. • Portray a professional appearance and demeanor. • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail. • Must be able to handle stress and job demands. • Maintains compliance with all OSHA and company specific safety requirements and policies. • Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes and attend all company provided NEC code trainings. • All other duties as assigned. The Ideal candidate has: • High school diploma or GED required. • Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction practices preferred. • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. • Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site environments. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. Preferred (Not Required): • Enrollment in or completion of an electrical trade school program. • Previous construction or electrical helper experience. • OSHA 10 certification.
