Forklift Operator/Laborer

Requisition ID: 180534 Position Summary We’re seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Laborer to support material handling for pipe fabrication and yard operations. In this role, you’ll locate, move, and stage materials; operate both fixed‑mast and extendable‑boom forklifts; and assist crews in preparing for fabrication and delivery activities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment. Experience Level Intermediate Primary Responsibilities And Duties • Operate fixed-mast forklifts (Hyster or similar) and extendable-boom forklifts (Lull or similar) • Locate, move, stage, and deliver materials throughout the laydown yard and fabrication area • Assist craft workers with setup, rigging, and material handling • Perform daily equipment checks, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance • Safely rig and lift heavy loads using equipment and approved methods • Maintain accurate accountability of materials for location, staging, and project delivery • Follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Previous experience in material handling, construction, or a related field • Ability to operate forklifts and hand/power tools safely and efficiently • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions • General knowledge of construction or yard operations Requirements • Ability to meet all physical requirements, including repetitive lifting and outdoor work • Ability to work in all weather conditions in a yard or warehouse environment • Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends based on workload needs • Commitment to all site safety rules • Other duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
