Residential Lead Electrician

Responsibilities • Lead and coordinate electrical installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites and renovation projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems. • Supervise and mentor junior electricians and handymen, fostering a safe and productive work environment. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues efficiently. • Ensure all work adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage systems. • Manage the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation projects. • Oversee the use of schematics for complex wiring layouts involving industrial and commercial electrical systems. • Conduct inspections on electrical components, including circuit breakers, transformers, conduits, and wiring for quality assurance. • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records. • Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest safety standards on-site. Experience • Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. • Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising electrical teams on construction or renovation sites. • Extensive hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in various environments. • Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters and power tools. • Familiarity with NEC regulations governing electrical installations in commercial settings. • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects is highly desirable. • Construction site experience involving framing carpentry or general handyman skills is a plus.
