Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyperson Welder to join our production team at our Acheson facility. This is a full time unionized position for the afternoon shift (Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm to 3:00 am). This role is vital for ensuring the quality and integrity of our steel products. As a Welder, you will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional steel solutions while working with advanced technology and techniques. Ideal candidates are quality-driven, safety-conscious, and capable of interpreting blueprints to fabricate structural steel components with precision. Journeyperson Welder Key Qualifications and Responsibilities Requirements: - Journeyperson / Red Seal Certification - CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) Certification - CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector certification an asset - Experience with Submerged Arc Welding (Sub Arc) an asset - Proficiency in all-position structural steel welding - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding schematics • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards • Key Responsibilities: - Weld a variety of structural steel components in accordance with project specifications - Perform visual inspections and quality checks on welds; adjust as necessary - Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production timelines - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area - Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment Supreme Steel offers a competitive wage and benefit package as per the collective agreement.
