Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Electrician - Lead and take charge of electrical projects across diverse construction sites. Responsibilities • Lead and coordinate electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities on commercial, and renovation projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. • Work with low voltage systems, high voltage circuits, and adhere to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and compliance. • Ensure all work meets safety regulations and industry standards; conduct inspections using schematics and blueprints to verify accuracy. • Mentor junior electricians and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications • Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience leading electrical projects in commercial or industrial environments. • Extensive lead electrician experience combined with strong construction site knowledge. • Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting. • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices; experience with power tool safety is essential. • Knowledge of NEC regulations, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and automation controls including PLCs. • Experience working on renovation projects or construction sites with a focus on electrical installations. • Ability to read technical schematics accurately; familiarity with framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus. • Strong communication skills; capable of leading teams effectively while maintaining a safety-first mindset.
