Job Overview
We are seeking a a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our maintenance team. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across our hospitality properties. This role plays a critical part in ensuring guest comfort and maintaining operational efficiency within our facilities.
Responsibilities:
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
• Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimize system efficiency and longevity.
• Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain cleaning or pipe repairs.
• Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques; repair or replace faulty components promptly.
• Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades to improve system performance based on client needs.
• Handle HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) units with safety compliance.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, and document system conditions accurately.
Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience as an HVAC service technician with strong mechanical knowledge of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
• Construction experience preferred for installation projects involving ductwork or system retrofits.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing systems related to HVAC units; knowledge of appliance repair is a plus.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair tasks efficiently.
• Mechanical skills including welding, boiler maintenance, and general property maintenance are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R standards required for certain specialized roles.
• Strong field service skills with the ability to troubleshoot quickly under pressure while maintaining safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Availability for occasional weekend or emergency maintenance calls
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
