Duties • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations. • Work with low-voltage and high-voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols outlined by the CSA. • Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. • Conduct construction site work, including framing carpentry and general handyman tasks, as needed. • Follow detailed schematics and electrical plans to ensure precise wiring and system functionality. • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards and regulations throughout each project phase. Skills • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex wiring projects. • Familiarity with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems in various construction environments. • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting. • Knowledge of the CSA standards for safe installation practices. • Experience working on construction sites, including renovation projects with a focus on safety compliance. • Ability to interpret schematics accurately and implement wiring solutions accordingly. • Strong construction site experience with framing carpentry skills is beneficial for integrated project work. • Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving on-site tasks involving electrical repairs or modifications.
