Licensed Plumber – Institutional / Education Facilities
We are seeking a Licensed Plumber with proven experience working in K-12 schools, colleges, and university facilities to support commercial plumbing projects across the Dallas–Fort Worth region. This role focuses on installation, maintenance, and renovation of plumbing systems within active educational environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems in K-12 schools, colleges, and university facilities.
• Work on new construction, renovations, and facility upgrades including classrooms, labs, cafeterias, dormitories, and athletic facilities.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing schematics for institutional projects.
• Install and service systems including:
• Domestic water systems
• Sanitary and storm drainage
• Natural gas piping
• Backflow prevention devices
• Water heaters and boilers
• Coordinate with general contractors, facility managers, and school maintenance teams.
• Maintain compliance with Texas plumbing codes, safety standards, and school district regulations.
• Perform work in occupied educational facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to students and staff.
• Assist with system inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and service records.
Qualifications
• Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber License required.
• 5+ years of commercial or institutional plumbing experience.
• Strong experience working on education sector projects (K-12, colleges, or universities).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing plans.
• Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, medical gas (preferred), and large-scale domestic water systems.
• Experience working within active campuses or occupied facilities is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Preferred Experience
• Projects involving school districts, community colleges, or university campuses.
• Experience with:
• Central plant piping
• Large mechanical rooms
• Campus-wide plumbing infrastructure
• Familiarity with LEED or sustainable building practices.
