Journeyperson Welders-SHIFT- 14 Day Rotation-12 hour shifts

Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park. Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Journeyperson Welders for the Fort MacKay location on a 14-days on/ 14-days off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following; What you will do: Repair/rebuild of large mining equipment including; heavy haul truck boxes, dozer blades, shovel clam/backwall dippers What you bring to the position: • Proficiency in all position use of: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW; all sizes of weld wire • Reading and interpretation of blueprints • Proficient in the use of oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines • Active participation in Safety Programs • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times • Preference will be given to applicants that have worked on Oil Sands sites and demonstrate sustained safety consciousness Your qualifications: • Certified Red Seal or Alberta Journeyperson Welder • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset • Valid fall protection & elevated work platform certificate • Additional valid safety certifications is an asset What we bring: • Competitive pay, along with shift premiums • A living allowance will be provided • Rewards - service rewards, employee discounts • Personal growth, career advancement opportunities • A workplace that prides itself on safety, cleanliness, respect, and results • Feedback and recognition for a job well done • No accommodations or transportation provided Please note: Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring.
