Job Title: Welder (Night Shift)Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Welder specializing in custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. You will be instrumental in crafting the metal framework for cabinets that house electrical switchgears and power distribution systems.
Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Take precise measurements for welding tasks.
• Perform welding on sheet metal using Flux Core and sometimes MIG in the 2G position.
• Work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet metal up to 3/8" thick.
• Independently weld and complete own work pieces.
Essential Skills
• 5+ years of structural welding experience.
• Proficiency in welding thin sheet metal and aluminum.
• Expertise in Flux Core welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tape effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with MIG welding and 4G welding.
• Knowledge of welding techniques for 11 gauge and 14 gauge sheet metal.
• Extensive skills in welding and fitting.
• Familiarity with 3G, FCAW, GMAW, and stainless steel welding.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a medium-sized, clean, and organized shop. Although it's a non-climate-controlled environment, there are plenty of fans to keep the area ventilated. The shop is fast-paced and busy, with adjacent areas including a machine shop and facilities for machine operators, fabricators, and future powder coaters. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. The night shift operates from Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, typically working 11 hours per day, 5-6 days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
