Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly experienced and results-driven Senior Electrical Commissioning Specialists to lead commissioning operations across commercial, institutional, and mission critical facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
This role requires 10+ years of progressive electrical experience, advanced troubleshooting expertise, and proven leadership in system start-up, testing, and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise commissioning teams and field personnel across multiple project sites.
• Oversee installation, integration, and verification of electrical systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans and advanced testing procedures.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, fault analysis, and corrective actions during commissioning and operational phases.
• Lead system start-up activities ensuring seamless transition from construction to full operation.
• Prepare and review commissioning reports, test documentation, and closeout packages.
• Ensure strict compliance with NEC, CEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and all applicable regulations.
• Serve as senior technical liaison between clients, engineers, and project management teams.
• Provide post-commissioning support, optimization, and client training.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of accredited electrical apprenticeship required.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Minimum 5+ years in a senior-level or leadership role.
• Licensed Master or Journeyman Electrician in the United States or Canada.
• Extensive experience in mission critical environments (data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities).
• OSHA 30 certification required; NFPA 70E preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of NEC, CEC, commissioning procedures, and testing protocols.
Work Environment:
• Work in various field environments including construction sites, mission critical facilities, and operational buildings.
• Frequent travel required throughout the United States and Canada.
• Physical demands include lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
