Forklift Operator
Chicago, IL
Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, recyclable materials, and equipment throughout the facility.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and designated storage areas while ensuring proper placement and secure pallet stacking.
Perform pallet stacking, breakdown, and reorganization in accordance with safety and operational standards.
Support recycling processes, including the collection, transportation, and staging of recyclable materials.
Conduct routine forklift inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Assist with basic inventory tasks such as counting, labeling, and organizing materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet operational needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications
Valid forklift operator certification or license.
Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, production, or industrial setting.
Knowledge of safe forklift operation, pallet stacking techniques, and material handling best practices.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Willingness to submit to background and drug testing.

Paid Leave and Sick Time Employees are eligible to accrue paid leave and paid sick time in accordance with applicable Chicago, Cook County, and Illinois laws.
