3rd shift Welder

Hiring Opportunity: Youngstown Ohio Our client is looking to hire a 3rd shift Welder for their facility in Youngstown Ohio! Our client is a leader in producing high-density, low-cost steel counterweights, and weldments. The Welder would be responsible for measuring, cutting and assembling materials in a safe, orderly manner for production output. Qualified candidates would have experience with Flux-core welding, and the ability to read blue-prints. Job Responsibilities: - Ability to perform this work proficiently at a fast pace - Reading and understanding blueprints/job specifications - Measuring and cutting material to specifications - Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. - Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances - Selecting, measuring, cutting and joining appropriate metals to specifications - Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage - Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools - Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly. - Able to operate 4' and 9' grinders for long periods of times Job Requirements: - Reliable/Dependable - Able to correctly read a tape measure - Minimum 1-year experience MIG Welding - Minimum 6-months welding Fluxcore/duel shield-Added by AH - Ability to perform manual labor - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to perform work proficiently at a fast pace - Open minded and willing to learn company process. - Ability to read blueprints - Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor - Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques Physical Requirements: - The ability to respond quickly to sounds - The ability to see and respond to dangerous situation - The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly - The ability to perform manual work such as bending and lifting heavy parts - The ability to lift 70 lbs.
