Job Overview
Looking for Apprentices (2nd and 3rd year) as well as a Journeyman welders to join our team. Under the direction and supervision of the Welding Foreman you will weld metal components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate, and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specification. Welders are expected to understand the requirements of projects and maintain the highest quality of workmanship. Ability to work with little direction, work safely, maintain a positive attitude and work with integrity. Attendance is very important must be able to work 40 hours per week.
Duties
• Execute MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, welding processes on diverse materials
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble parts
• Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, shape and assemble metal components
• Gouging, plasma cutting, lancing and crack repair.
• Perform rigging, crane operation assistance, and material handling using forklifts or other lifting equipment as needed
• Measure dimensions precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand English (verbal and written) instructions.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and participating in routine inspections
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit;
• Ability to use hands to operate equipment, handle, or feel;
• Ability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 – 50lbs
• Occasionally lift and/or move >50lbs with assistance
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above and below waist
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
