Apprentice and Journeyperson Electricians

Westcana Electric Inc. is a leading Western Canadian Electrical Contractor seeking Apprentice and Journeyperson Electricians to join our team. We are seeking a driven, reliable team member who will work to exceed clients expectations and perform their tasks in a safe and timely manner. The successful candidate will be working in various areas of the Okanagan. Please note that this posting does not reflect available positions for all Apprentice levels. APPRENTICES ($18.98-$34.06) Rates include RRSP contributions Responsibilities: • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes. • Participate in wiring, circuit installation, panel upgrades, and troubleshooting electrical issues. • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on job sites. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. • Attend training sessions and complete required coursework for apprenticeship progression. Skills • Basic understanding of electrical principles and practices. • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical field. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards. • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. JOURNEYMEN (Starting at $38.63) Rates include RRSP contributions Responsibilities: • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial projects • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations • Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality service • Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively Qualifications: • Journeyman Electrician Red Seal • Experience in both commercial and residential electrical work • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent communication skills Why Work for Us ?
