Job Description
Job Title: 4th‑Year Apprentice Service Plumber
About the Role
We’re looking for motivated 4th‑year plumbing apprentices who are ready to take the next step in their service career. If you’ve completed 4,000+ hours and want a role where you can sharpen your skills, stay busy, and earn strong pay while working toward your license, this is the place to grow.
You’ll handle a wide range of service plumbing tasks—from basic repairs to full system troubleshooting—while learning directly from experienced service professionals.
What You’ll Do
• Respond to scheduled service calls, assess plumbing issues, and provide clear explanations to customers.
• Assist with the installation and repair of fixtures including sinks, toilets, tubs, disposals, dishwashers, water heaters (gas, electric, tankless), and softeners.
• Perform drain and sewer cleaning in residential and commercial settings, including basements, roofs, crawl spaces, and tight areas.
• Maintain clean, safe work sites and restore areas to pre‑job condition.
• Prepare basic invoices, collect payments, and document work performed using a company‑provided smartphone or tablet.
• Move efficiently from one service call to the next throughout the day.
What You Bring
• 4th‑year apprentice status with 4,000+ verified hours toward your Journeyman license.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and service‑level troubleshooting.
• Customer‑friendly communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable work habits.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications such as OSHA‑10 and Excavation/Competent Person (company supported).
• Experience with water heater installs/repairs and drain cleaning is a strong plus.
Additional Preferred Skills
• Experience working in both residential and commercial environments.
• Preventative maintenance knowledge.
• Comfortable interacting with customers; friendly, outgoing, and professional.
• Familiarity with plumbing materials including PVC, cast iron, copper, and fixture components.
• Backflow certification (or interest in obtaining one with company support).
Why This Is a Great Opportunity
• 12‑week paid training program combining classroom instruction and hands‑on field work.
• Company‑provided van, phone, tablet, and major tools—you bring your basic hand tools.
• Weekly pay with separate checks for mileage and commission.
• Start your day from home—drive time and mileage paid at $0.70 per mile.
• Additional earning opportunities through referrals, Google reviews, and quarterly performance reviews.
• Compensation structure designed to reward productivity, with total earnings ranging from $60,000 to well over $200,000 depending on performance.
Work Environment
• Service work across residential and commercial properties.
• First‑shift schedule with 8‑hour days between 7 AM and 8 PM.
• Overtime paid at 1.5× weekly production.
• Daily travel between service calls; clock in from your driveway each morning.
