Welder/Ironworker

Job Description We are a steel construction and erection company seeking an experienced Welder/Ironworker to support the installation phase at the Mountview Health Complex in Beaverlodge, Alberta. This role is ideal for a welder who is comfortable working in the field, performing on-site welding, fit-up, and steel installation as part of a professional erection crew on a high-profile healthcare facility project. The successful candidate will work as part of an installation crew, erecting and securing structural steel while maintaining strict safety standards in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities • Install and erect structural steel in accordance with drawings and specifications • Perform bolting, impacting, and fit-up of steel at heights (up to approximately 150 ft) • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and layout plans • Rig, hoist, and set steel using cranes and lifting equipment • Complete on-site welding and finishing • Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and securement of steel members • Work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions • Follow all site safety procedures, including fall protection requirements • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Qualifications & Requirements • Journeyperson Welder/Ironworker, Apprentice Welder/Ironworker, or experienced Welder/Ironworker • Minimum 2+ years of experience in steel erection, installation, rigging, and welding • Valid CWB Welding Certification • Valid Fall Protection certification • Ability to complete pre-access drug & alcohol testing • Valid Class 5 driver’s license • Own basic ironworker tools • Physically capable of working at heights and performing demanding tasks • Located in Beaverlodge area or willing to travel Compensation & Benefits • Competitive wages: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour • Extended health, dental, and vision coverage • Travel and accommodations provided for non-local workers Additional Details • Work Location: Beaverlodge, Alberta • Schedule: Full-time, installation/project-based work • Travel: Willingness to travel if outside work location Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Experience: • Welding: 2 years (preferred) • Ironworking : 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: • CWB Welding Certification (required) • Fall Protection Certification (required) Work Location: In person
