Warehouse Worker/forklift Operator

This is a growing company with an exciting future, don’t miss out! • *Description of Role** - Regular shift of 4:30 am to 12:30PM. - Assist in receiving cargo by removing from truck by hand or using manual equipment such as pallet jack or forklift. - Organize cargo in cross area including consolidation of freight and prepare for same day or next day shipping. - Load cargo into trucks and secure for last mile delivery. - Coordinate receipt, storage of cargo for temporary or long-term storage. - Enter incoming freight into the warehouse management system. - Sort and organize freight for storage and place freight on racks, shelfs, or bins according to size, weight, type, etc., in accordance with standard operating procedures. - Count and stock in freight based on inventory control procedures - Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and warehouse neat and orderly. - Maintain warehouse security through out shift - Perform occasional inventory counts. - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years working experience - Minimum 2 years warehouse experience - Minimum 2 years forklift experience - Must have Valid Forklift License - Good communication skills and data entry skills - Must have a valid provincial driver’s license with an excellent driving record - Must clear a RCMP background check - Ability to continually lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 25kg (50lbs). - Ability to continuously stand and walk long distances for 6 to 8 hours - Be dependable and punctual - High School Diploma Preferred Qualifications - 1 year experience driving a 5 ton truck - Previous experience working in a warehouse environment - Previous experience working for a logistics company - Post-secondary education in any field Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay • *Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Schedule: - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Morning shift • *Experience**: - Forklift: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Forklift Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
