Job Description

Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC Regular Primary Function The Electrical Technician is responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and all related control systems, sub-systems, and related equipment. Essential Duties Able to work independently, analyze situations, and make decisions with minimal supervision Follow NEC electrical code to install and repair electrical systems Read and interpret blueprints and drawings Use schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications provided by the customer or provided for required equipment Work with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment Install and repair electrical and control systems Install power supply wiring and conduit Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, control systems, lighting, and power supplies Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with codes Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems Utilizes knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems. Supervisory Responsibilities No Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc. Ability to follow a process. Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management. Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently Ability to multi-task Knowledge of relevant standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Five (5) years of commercial/industrial experience Documentation of completed apprenticeship program for electricians Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform all duties Previous military / government Logistics experience preferred but not required. Ability to maintain government security clearance. Ability to pass background and drug screening. Working Environment A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime may be required.
