Job Description
This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon the candidate's qualifications:
Associate HVAC Technician ($25.01 - $34.92)Assists with installation, startup, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing HVAC equipment commonly found in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor and may take direction from senior HVAC personnel.
HVAC Technician ($27.02 - $37.70)Performs installation, startup, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing HVAC equipment commonly found in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor and may take direction from senior HVAC personnel.
Senior HVAC Technician ($31.52 - $43.97)
The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, start-up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, compressed air, liquid gases, or fuel used in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor.

Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License.
HVAC Technician

Knowledge of:
• HVAC Maintenance and Installation
• General office processes and procedures
• Safety practices in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties.
• Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Skilled at:
• Basic HVAC maintenance and repair
• Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Taking direction on work tasks
• Working in a team environment
Ability to:
• Follow policies and procedures
• Perform work in extreme environments with varying weather conditions
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
• Source needed parts for HVAC equipment
• Operate lifting equipment such as boom and scissor lifts.
• Work on-call shifts as needed
Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License.
Senior HVAC Technician

• Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• General office processes and procedures
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Safety practices in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties.
• Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Skilled at:
• Performing HVAC maintenance and installations in an industrial environment.
• The use of materials, tools, parts, and equipment commonly used to maintain HVAC systems.
• Operation and maintenance of chilled and hot water systems.
• Industrial/Commercial HVAC Control Systems.
Ability to:
• Perform work in extreme environments with varying weather conditions
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Identify problems, craft effective solutions, demonstrate good judgement.
• Source needed parts for HVAC equipment
• Operate lifting equipment such as boom and scissor lifts.
• Work varying shifts to meet business needs.
• Assist in the training and development of HVAC technicians.
Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License. CFC (EPA 608) certification. Boom and Scissor lift certification.
