Job Description

Role Summary We are hiring a Commercial Electrician to support scheduled rollout and retrofit work across grocery store locations. The work is primarily after hours and overnight. You will install cable pathway supports, pull and secure BX and Cat5, mount hardware and devices, and complete clean, consistent installs across multiple sites. This role requires strong workmanship, speed without shortcuts, and the discipline to work in active retail environments. Hourly Pay • Journeyperson: $42.26 per hour (Night Shift: $49.02) • 4th Year Apprentice: $33.81 per hour (Night Shift: $39.22) • 3rd Year Apprentice: $29.58 per hour (Night Shift: $34.31) Compensation • Full time, approximately 40 hours per week, potential for Overtime (after 40 hours) • +16% Night Shift premium • Mileage compensated when scheduled to work outside of core • Meal Per Diem and Accommodations provided when working out of town Key Responsibilities • Install cable supports and pathways required for rollout work, including layout and secure fastening to structure • Pull, route, secure, and identify BX cable runs to meet quality and consistency standards • Pull, route, secure, and label Cat5 communications cable runs to meet separation and handling expectations • Mount hardware and devices including boxes, brackets, backboards, supports, j hooks, and equipment mounting components • Follow drawings, rollout packages, and onsite direction to execute installs with minimal rework • Maintain housekeeping standards suitable for grocery store environments and keep work areas safe and controlled • Coordinate with the crew lead or supervisor on site conditions, access constraints, and scope changes • Complete required closeout documentation such as photos, redlines, and daily completion notes based on the project process Work Environment • Multi site grocery store rollout work • Small crews, never smaller than two people • Planned upgrades and scheduled work only • Scope changes are authorized by the Electrical Supervisor and shutdown plans are directed by the Electrical Supervisor Required Qualifications • Journeyperson Electrician license as required in the province of work • Proven commercial experience installing cable systems, supports, and mounting hardware in finished environments • Demonstrated ability pulling BX and communications cable with clean routing and consistent labeling • Strong safety mindset and ability to follow site specific controls and supervisor direction • Ability to work after hours and overnight and maintain performance and detail under night shift conditions • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between sites as required Preferred Assets • Red Seal Commercial Electrician • Prior rollout experience in retail or grocery environments • Experience working around operational constraints such as restricted areas, noise control, dust control, and coordination with store operations • Comfort reading rollout packages and producing clear closeout documentation • Strong Commercial experience including power distribution, lighting, and conduit installation
