Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Welders with proven tank fabrication experience to join our team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality hand welding in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform precise welds, and work efficiently in a field environment. Fitting experience is a major asset, as candidates may be required to assist with fit-up and alignment of structural and tank components.
We offer competitive wages of $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
• Interpret welding process specifications
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
• Perform hand welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment (no rig welding)
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
• Determine weldability of materials
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• Able to work overtime when applicable to meet deadlines
Credentials
• Journeyman welder ticket is an asset
• Minimum 2nd year apprentice (required)
• Tank fabrication experience is an asset
• Additional safety tickets is an asset (confined space, Fall arrest, CSTS, etc).
• sub arc operating experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
