General Labourer/Machine Operator

Job Overview Seeking a full time general labourer/machine operator. On the job training is provided in all aspects. The shop is open to clients from 7am-5pm on Monday-Friday. Previous deep hole drilling experience or gun drilling experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities • Operate deep hole drilling machines, gun drill machines, and/or horizontal hone machine. • Manual labour tasks. • Working knowledge of crane usage. • Use hand tools, basic power tools, verniers, and other measuring devices for quality control and precision measurement. • Operate a forklift for loading and unloading of parts. • Support assembly tasks using hand tools, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing best practices. • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and ensure a clean, organized work area in the warehouse environment. • Follow safety protocols including the use of PPE and proper handling of materials to prevent accidents. • Support packaging and shipping activities as needed to ensure timely delivery of finished products. Requirements • Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; certification preferred but not required. You will be trained if you are not already qualified. • Steel toe work boots and workwear are required, all other necessary safety equipment is provided. Ex, ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. • Proficiency in using calipers/verniers, hand tools, basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail for quality control. • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (75lbs) and stand for extended periods during shifts. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job. • Commitment to safety standards and willingness to follow all company policies related to health and safety procedures.
