Welder/ Fitter (Manufacturing)

Job Overview: Metalman Art & Design is looking to hire an experienced fabricator. Metalman Art & Design is a custom metal fabrication shop located just West of Saskatoon on Hwy 7 & Martin Road. Looking for an experienced fabricator/welder to undertake a broad and diverse range of responsibilities related to custom metal fabrication. Skills and Responsibilities: Operation of bandsaw, plate roller, drill press, hand tools and other fabrication equipment. Grinding/cleaning parts and finished product. Fabricate, assemble and weld metal structures/components according to specifications or blueprints. Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams. Measure, cut and shape metal to produce parts that meet a high level of accuracy and consistent quality. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and adhere to safety standards. Complete knowledge of welding, including MIG Rigging knowledge would be considered an asset Ability to carry out tasks alone, with little supervision as well as collaborate with others Ability to identify and repair weld faults Problem solving and abstract thinking are a must to achieve results Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure Qualifications: Class 5 Drivers License and clean driverss abstract are a must English as first language preferred Must have 2-5 years of solid welding experience Completion of onsite welding test will be required This position is safety sensitive, and may require a criminal background check We would like to thank all those who apply only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
